Promotion tracking

You can use promotion tracking in M3 DMP to assess the effectiveness of promotions that increase sales. The feature includes data such as items, customers, sales, and warehouses.

Promotion tracking integrates with M3 promotions through OIS840MI and with M3 datasets through OIS401 for sales or order statistics, forecasts, and budget data. Promotions are defined in a dataset and can be imported or exported in M3 BE as part of the M3 DMP workflow. You can modify, update, and assign promotions to a dataset to track the promotional effect with other forecast, budget, sales, or purchase data.

Promotion list

A promotion list is the main list of all promotions in M3 DMP. It includes details such as promotion headers, promotion lines, customers, and warehouse.

You can use the promotion list without assigning a promotion to a dataset. The top grid in a promotion list shows the promotions headers, and the promotion lines are displayed in the bottom grid.

To access the promotion list, click Menu > Lists > Promotion.

Note: Promotions are maintained at a version level and can be connected to a specific dataset.
