Exporting file through Favorite View
You can use this option for extracting data for external review. By using the filtering options in your favorite views, you can export specific parts of the dataset. The export file option allows you to export data or values from a favorite view, including Calculated Measures, AUMs, Extra Keys, and PLM key state information.
You can export the data in various formats such as CSV files, mini websites, XML data, or Excel templates. You can select a template based on the export mode and customize the fonts and colors in the output.
These are the available templates in the DMP client program folder:
- ExportTemplate.html
This template is used for the website export.
- ExportTemplate_H.xls
This template is used to export data with horizontal periods.
- ExportTemplate_V.xls
This template is used to export data with vertical periods.
Use this procedure to export a file using the
option:- Select
The File Export dialog box is displayed.
. - On Configuration, select a configuration from the list.
- On Export Data, specify
this information:
- Favorite View
- Select this option then select a favorite view from the list.
- Keys
- Select the keys to use in exporting the data.
- On Options, specify this
information:
- List Separator
- Select a separator character from the list.
- Missing value
- Select an option from the list.
- Date Mapping
- Select an option from the list.
- On Export Mode, select an available template from the list.
Additionally, you can select these options:
- One-line header
- Select this option to put the header in a single row.
- Exclude FRF
- Select this option to remove the FRF column and the two-leading
character from OSKEY and OSLEC when saving the CSV file.Note: You can select this option only if the export parameter is set to CSV format.
- Use View Column Name
- Select this option to allow the exported files to use the key column
names defined for favorite views.Note: This option also affects Extra Keys, Numeric/Text for Keys, and Key State.
- On Export parameters,
specify this information:
- Format
- Specify the format of the file to be exported.
- Files
- Select a file option from the list.
- Periods
- Specify an option from the list.
- Measure
- Specify a measure to be used.
- Year
- Select a year from the list.
- On Folder/File Name, specify a folder location. Once the export is complete, the file is generated in the folder you specified.
