Basic Keys

The M3 dataset keys are referred to as Basic keys. You can define a view with a filter to display only a portion of the dataset content. Key State is a filter option used to represent the life cycle or class of a record. Key Type is a filter option that allows filtering for phantoms.

You can define Key Groups and Key Patterns similar to Extra keys, except they use a blank space [ ] instead of NULL. See Key Group Setup.

Fast Filters for Basic Keys, Extra Keys, and Key State (PLMKey) are retained when reopening a Favorite View. This ensures that the last selected filter group is automatically applied, streamlining user workflows. The selected Fast Filter group is stored per user.

For basic keys and extra keys, the display format is:

8 » BC1 : [G]

Group ID + » + Group Name + : [G]

For PLMKey, the display format is:

10000 + Group ID
