Expanding dataset data through menu

  1. From the menu, select Data > Expand Dataset data.
  2. Specify the configuration name and click Save.
    Note: This step is helpful if you run this feature as a workflow.
  3. On the From and Expansion sections, select a favorite view including the measure.
  4. On the To section, select the dataset and the data type.
  5. On Action, select an option from the list to set up these values:
    • Distribute by Value. When selected, this action distributes the value of the From view measures and places the data on data type of the To dataset.
    • Copy distribution values. When selected, this action transfers the values of the Expansion view measure and places the data on the data type of the To dataset.
    • Multiply by value. When selected, values in measure of the From view are multiplied by values of Expansion view measure and placed on the data type of the To dataset.
    • Copy from value. When selected, values of the From view measure are transferred and placed on the data type of To dataset.
  6. If the color of all arrows is blue and keys are set, click OK to start the expand dataset action.
