User Domains

The user domain offers functionalities that allow you to enhance security, reduce error possibilities for the forecasters, simplify process flow, and is immediately implemented. A user domain is a filter that defines the boundaries for what a forecaster can view, navigate, and edit.

A user domain filter can be defined and connected to a forecaster in the M3 DMP data version. When using the user domain functionality, the forecaster will be restricted to view only the data in the forecast structure that is defined by the user domain filter definition.

 It is important to note that:

• User domain definitions are applicable to server and packaged versions only.
• User domain definitions are not applicable to local data versions.
• User domain is defined per Dataset within a specific Version.
• If AUM definitions are designed with user domain definitions, the user domain filter is applied in the AUM Factor Edit dialog box.
