The Version Properties dialog box is displayed.

Select these tabs and specify this information:

General
Field name Description Version Displays the version number of the selected version. Name Displays the default version name. You can change the version name. Description Optionally, specify a description of the version. Server Displays the name of the server. Database Displays the name of the database. Creation Date Displays the date when the file was created. Last Time Used Displays the time when the file was last used. Location Displays the location of the file. -
Settings
Field name Description Cycle Name Displays the creation date and time of the forecast cycle. Closed Specifies if the forecast cycle is closed. Note: A forecast cycle is closed by default when a new version is created.Bypass Open/Close You can set a version to be on Bypass, which enables forecasters to log on to central version even though it is actually closed. Forecast Method You can select either Calculated Base Forecast or Manual Forecast methods. Read about forecast methods for more information. -
Packages
Note: The Packages tab is only displayed when a server based version is selected.
Field name Description Access Select the access type for the forecasters. User Name Specify the login name to the ftp or http site. Note: You can only specify the user name if the access type is User Authentication.Password Specify the password to the ftp or http site. Note: You can only specify the password if the access type is User Authentication.Protocol Select FTP or HTTP.
File Transfer Protocol or FTP is a protocol used to upload files from a workstation to a FTP server or download files from a FTP server to a workstation. When ftp is displayed in a URL, it means that the user is connecting to a file server and not a web server and that some form of file transfer is going to take place. Most FTP servers require the user to log on to the server in order to transfer files.
Hyper Text Transfer Protocol, or HTTP, is a protocol used to transfer files from a web server to a browser in order to view a web page. When http is displayed in a URL, it means that the user is connecting to a web server and not a file server.
Package Format Select the type of package format. The available options are XML and ADTG. Offline Package Path Specify the package path for Offline User. Online Package Path Specify the package path for Online User. Package URL Specify the URL for the package. Test Package Site You can test the path to the package.
