Defining the Scoreboard Properties

  1. Select Scoreboard > Actions > Properties for Scoreboard record.
Note: You can also open the Scoreboard Properties dialog box by selecting a scoreboard record and right-clicking it and then selecting the Properties option.
  2. Specify this information:
    Name
Specify a name for the scoreboard.
    Category
Specify a category or select an existing category from the list. You can use it to filter the Scoreboard.
    Description
Specify a description for the scoreboard record.
    Owner
Select the owner of the scoreboard.
    Scope
Select Private or Public to define who owns and views the Scoreboard.
    Type
Displays the Scoreboard type. This is a read-only field.
    Favorite View
Displays the favorite view used by the Scoreboard.
  3. Click Calculation setup and specify this information:
    Parameters Action
Formula Select an applicable formula template from one of the available lists. Click Select.

The calculation conditions of the selected formula are displayed in the last field of Calculation Parameters. See Formulae for Scoreboard Calculations.

Measures Select the applicable measures to be used in the formula for scoreboard calculation. Select a measure for Mark to show cells matching the conditions for calculations for a Scoreboard.
Limits/Factors Specify a value in the Lower and Upper fields. To exclude the upper or lower value, select the Exclusive check box.
Bound Select Inside or Outside to specify the inner or outer limits in the scoreboard calculation.
Note: The Exclusive check boxes are selected for both Lower and Upper limits when you select Outside bound.
Function/Calculated Deviation (CDev) In Function, select the applicable functions to use in a calculation. You can select from these functions:
    • Abs
    • Round
    • Truncate
    • Average
When you select Tracking Signal as formula only, the function Interval is available.

In Calculated Deviation (CDev), when you select a Forecast Alarm formula, this option is displayed instead. Select the appropriate setup values to be used in the Deviation calculation. You can select from these functions:

    • Type
    • Smoothing
    • Periods
Periods/Mean Forecast Errors In Periods, you can define the offset in periods between two measures used in a formula.

In Mean Forecast Error, you can define the number of periods when Forecast Alarm 2 is selected as formula.

    # of Times Specify the number of times a calculation should evaluate true before a record is considered a hit. After the record is considered a hit, the score is incremented.
Dataset(s) Select a Dataset from the available number of Datasets displayed in the list.
Note: You can select a Dataset from the list for Number of Phantoms, Number of Phase Out's, Number of SA awaiting acceptance, and Number of unconfirmed SP's calculation setup.

This option is valid for the these types of Scoreboards:

    • Favorite View Key Based
    • Favorite view based
    • Number of Phantoms
    • Number of Phase Out's
    • Number of SA awaiting acceptance
    • Number of unconfirmed SP's
  4. On Calculation Time filter, specify this information:

Calculation Time filter enables you to configure the time range where the calculation is performed. Scoreboard calculation time filter is always constrained by the Favorite View Time Filter. This option is valid only for Favorite view-based scoreboards.

    Select Time Frame
Select a Dataset from the available number of Datasets displayed in the drop-down list. Select this to configure the time range. By default, Favorite View option is selected.
  5. On Highlight Colors, specify this information:

Highlight Colors enables the definition for the color that indicates the scoreboard calculation.  This option is valid only for Favorite view-based scoreboards.

    Default Color
The default color is used for all conditions where the calculation is true.
    Color Ranges
You can use color ranges for defining the colors in a specific range. You must define the value ranges in increasing order. You can also add, update, and delete the color ranges.
  6. On Values and Settings for scoreboard, specify this information:

This option is used to configure additional settings for scoreboard calculations.

    Calculation Values
These values are read-only fields and display the number of occurrences for Hits, Previous Hits, and Change.
    Type Icon
Select a custom icon from the drop-down list after you clear the Standard check box. By default, the Standard check box is selected.
    Settings
    Specify the scoreboard calculation settings:
Null cells are considered cells with zeroes
Select this option to include null cells as cells with zero values.
    Average calculations include null cells
Select this option to include null cells for Average calculations for scoreboards. By default, null cells are not included in Average function.
    Open Scoreboard with all rows
Select this option to display the entire Favorite view.
Note:  The cells meeting the calculation conditions are also marked by colored dots. By default, only the records matching the conditions for calculations for a Scoreboard are displayed.
    Ignore small divides
Select this option to ignore small divisor values in a calculation formula. You can use this when a scoreboard formula contains division. A small divisor will often yield a large result. Small divisor value is not always desired or relevant to be the cause of an exception.
    Abs (Divide) >
Specify the divisor values that should be ignored. For example, 0.1. The function considers both positive and negative values.
    Show Calculation data
Select this option to display an additional measure called Scoreboard Calculation (SBC). SBC is the calculated value used for Scoreboard comparisons during complex Scoreboard calculations.
    Column Name
Select this option to reflect the name of the calculation column as the content of the column. This table displays the options:
    Formula Template Default Column Name

Note: All other Scoreboards get the column name SBC.
    No. of decimals
Specify the number of decimals to be used. The default value for all formulae is 2.
    Display column values as percentage
Select this option to display the column values as percentage. It is only available for the formulae where it makes sense. For all other formulae, the option is hidden.
