About Version Control
Version Control is a role based component that is used to manage different forecast environments, forecast versions, and forecast packages. Version Control governs connections to external systems (import or export), access between M3 DMP Client and M3 DMP Server (upload or download), and creation of forecast packages to forecasters.
The forecast data managed in M3 DMP is always contained in the active version.
The access to functions is governed by the active user role in M3 DMP.
