User Management Rights
In DMP, roles are assigned for each user in versions and dataset. The user roles have varying access to the features inside the application.
These are the available roles that can be assigned to each user in Demand Planner:
- Administrator
A user with an Administrator role can access all the features in open and closed versions of the application.
- Central user
This user is connected to a central database and has access to certain features that are used for forecasting and budgeting. A central user can only access the available features if the version the user has access to is open.
- Online and offline user
An online or offline user is granted an access only to data that the user needs. A user that is assigned to this role only has access to features that can modify or update the data.
For Administrator and Central user role, you must define the user management rights to restrict the roles to the features that each user can access. Configuring the user management rights secures the process of updating the data and accessing the external systems in the application.
