Configure M3 DMP for Importing and Exporting Datasets

The Settings dialog opens.

Select Data tab in the Settings dialog and check Activate Import/Export to enable import and export options.

For Import the following options are available:

Import from M3 Business Engine (M3 BE): Enable this field to acquire data from the M3 Business Engine (M3 BE).
Import from local DB: Enable this field to acquire data from the local transfer database (M3 DMPIF.lps in the data folder).
Import from M3 BE to active version and local DB: Enable this field to acquire data from the M3 Business Engine (M3 BE) and from a local transfer database.

For Export the following options are available:

Export to M3 Business Engine (M3 BE): Enable this field to export data to the M3 Business Engine (M3 BE).
Export to local DB: Enable this field to export data to the local transfer database (M3 DMPIF.lps in the data folder).
Export to M3 BE and local DB: Enable this field to export data back to both the M3 Business Engine (M3 BE) and to the local transfer database.

Complete the settings by entering the following:

Default Company: Enter the default company number for which available Datasets will be retrieved.
M3 Interface: To import/export data from M3 BE you must specify parameters for basic and/or advanced M3 interface settings in this dialog.

Click OK to complete configuring M3 DMP for importing Datasets.

In Version Control/Define Version Properties/Settings tab, select the forecast method for the Datasets you import.

Note: You must be logged in as an administrator to access import settings.
