Consolidating Market Forecast Proposals

The administrator combines all the Market Forecast Proposals into one Sales Forecast Proposal. To reach a consensus, the administrator collaborates with other forecast participants. M3 DMP does not directly support the communication but functionality for export of data and information is available.

The market forecast consolidation is an Administrator activity. The purpose of the activity is to get a consolidated view of the entire forecast across all forecasters. The activity is performed when all forecasters have created their market forecast proposals.

1. Open M3 DMP and login as Administrator.
2. Inspect the To Do list for updates that are marked with forecast. If you cannot see any mark, you can verify this by contacting the forecaster or by inspecting the Changes list to see if the forecaster made any changes to the server.
3. Create a consolidated scenario part.
4. Select Lists > Scenarios.

   A dialog box is displayed where you can create new scenarios.

5. Click New to create a scenario. This scenario consists of all scenario parts in the list. Select all scenario parts and attach them to the scenario you created. See About Scenario Part and Sales Activities and Create Scenario Part/Sales Activity.
6. Attach the consolidated scenario part to one or more favorite views. To inspect the changes, you need to attach the consolidated scenario part to a favorite view. Select a favorite view in the Favorite View panel and select Properties. You can change the selection of scenario part for a Favorite View in the Scenario tab. 7. Open the favorite view to inspect the changes.

   You can now inspect the consolidated changes from all forecasters in the favorite view by opening the pivot sheet.
