From Version Control, select the server version of the Dataset
for which you want to create a user domain.
Select
Menu > Users > User
Domains.
The
User Domains dialog is displayed in the
workspace.
By default, the User Domain workspace lists Datasets under users
but you can reverse this by checking
By Dataset under the
User/Dataset heading.
Under the domain heading you will see the version and
user/Dataset information, which allows you to confirm the correctness of your
action.
Select
New
to create a new user domain.
A white line appears in the domain window. Click in the
relevant cell(s) to activate a drop-down list containing the available choices.
You are limited to one selection per line. To include more than one selection
in the user domain, create a new line and make the new combination. All
combinations will be included in the user domain.
Select
Save
to complete the User Domain.
The user is able to view only the information defined
within the user domain. The
Save button is disabled
by default, only when a new user domain is created then the
Save button gets
enabled.
Change User Domains
In the
User domain dialog select the Dataset for
which you want to change the user domain.
The domain appears in the window.
Select the value/cell you want to change and make the change(s)
in the drop-down list.
Select
Save to finish the change.
The user domain is changed.
Delete User Domains
In the
User domain dialog select the Dataset for
which you want to delete the user domain.
The domain appears in the window.
Select
Delete
.
The user domain is deleted. The
Delete button is
disabled by default, only when a new user domain is created then the
Save button gets
enabled.
Note: Only
administrators can perform this task. Appropriate user
rights to the Dataset are required to create a user domain. Only Datasets with
View and change rights are displayed in the
User/Dataset list.
