Creating a sales activity

  1. Open a dataset or a favorite view.
  2. On the pivot sheet, select the cells that requires a change, right-click and select Calculate Cell(s).
    The Definition of Sales Activity dialog box is displayed.
  3. On Sales Activity, specify or select a scenario name.
    If you select Automatic Default Scenario Per Dataset on General Settings, you cannot create a new scenario. The Scenario Name field is disabled.
  4. On Part Type, specify this information:
    Sales Activity Name
    Specify the name for the sales activity.
    Change Category
    Select a relevant change category from the list.
    To Do List
    Select a to do list if you want to attach the sales activity to a To Do List.
    Sales Activity Description
    Optionally, specify a description for the sales activity.
    Activity State
    Select a relevant value from the list.
    External Reference
    If available, select an external reference.
  5. Click OK.
    The Basic Calculation or Advanced Calculation dialog box is displayed.
  6. On Basic Calculation or Advanced Calculation, select the Operator, Amount, Column, and Distribution Method.
  7. Click OK.
    The changes are displayed in the pivot sheet. The changed cells are displayed with a colored background and the tool tips provide details about the changes.
    Note: The changes are made at the aggregated level. The changes are distributed pro rata to the underlying cells. You can select to make basic or advanced calculations before creating your sales activity.
