Exporting Dataset to M3

Follow these steps to export a dataset to M3 using REST API.

Note: You must set the REST API integration method in Settings > Data to enable this feature.
  1. On Version Control, select the applicable version to update.
  2. From the menu, select Actions > Export.
    The M3 export dialog box is displayed.
  3. Select the dataset to export from the list.
  4. Specify this information:
    Configuration
    Name
    Specify the name of the configuration.
    Filters
    Key Filter
    Select a filter from the list or click the ellipsis button to specify another custom filter.

    The Export Filters dialog box is displayed.

    1. Specify this information:
      Key Filter
      On the Name field, select a filter from the list.
      Keys
      Select the check box for the options to include in the filter. Select from Basic Key, Extra Key, Budget, or Key State, then specify a specific, wildcard, or From and To range values to limit what DMP tries to export.
    2. Click Save.
    3. Click OK.
    Note: To access Export Filters, you must enable this feature in Setup > Settings > Logging > Special settings and then specify the value 2 on ExportKeyFilter.

    This feature is only available for On-premises users.

    Company
    Specify the company code.
    Max Records
    Optionally, specify a value in the field to limit the number of results.
  5. Click Options.
    The Export Options dialog box is displayed.
  6. Specify this information:
    General
    Data to export
    Select Original then select from these options:
    • Changed to export only the changes.
    • All to export the complete dataset.
    Phantoms
    Select the check box then select from these options:
    • Marked for export to include only the marked Phantoms to be exported.
    • All to export all the Phantoms.
    Distribution tables
    Select the check box then select from these options:
    • Changed to export only the changes.
    • All to export the complete distribution tables.
    Period Range
    From
    Specify the values for Year and Period.
    To
    Specify the values for Year and Period.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Export.
  9. Click Refresh.
    Note: The export log should include the range of period when the export for the dataset was started and completed.
