Importing file by year period mapping

In importing a file using the period mapping "Year," you can select a year from the Year combo box. If your file contains a "Year" column, that year is used, otherwise the year from the combo box is used.

Before importing, make sure these conditions are met:

  • The file should contain the period columns, and its name should be "Period".
  • If the file contains the year column, its name should be "Year".
  • The Year should be in the YYYY format.
  • The Period should be consistent with the Period Type.

    Example:

    • Months: 1, 2, 3, ... up to 12 only
    • Weeks: 1, 2, 3, ... up to 52
    • Quarters: 1, 2, 3, 4 (up to 4)

To import a file by year period mapping:

  1. Select Action > Import File.
  2. Specify the configuration name.
  3. Specify the separator character in Options.
  4. In Import Parameters, specify this information:
    Dataset
    Select a dataset from the list.
    Transaction Type
    Specify the transaction type.
    Period Mapping
    Select Year.
    Year
    Specify the year of the data to be imported.
    Budget
    Select a budget from the list.
    Data Type
    Select a data type for the import.
  5. Specify a folder path where the file to be imported into DMP is located.
  6. Click Import.
