Example of How To Create Multiple Dataset Views
- Select Favorite View and click Actions.
-
Click the
New Favorite view button.
The New Favorite View dialog is displayed.
-
Fill in the dialog and check
Multiple for Dataset View.
The Dataset selected here becomes the master Dataset for the view. The requirements for multiple Dataset Favorite views regarding the keys in the included Datasets are:
- Some common keys are in the Datasets
- The aggregation level is chosen so that only common keys are included
- Click OK to save the new favorite view and close the window.
-
In the
Favorite View Properties dialog, check the
Aggregation keys before selecting the Datasets, since the aggregation is a
defining factor for identifying available Datasets.
Note: To qualify as available Dataset, Datasets must match the master Dataset on period type and keys considering the aggregation selections made here.
-
In the Datasets subsheet check the Datasets you wish to include
in the Multiple Dataset.
Note: Datasets must match on at least one key to be available for the multiple Dataset view, and you cannot uncheck the Master Dataset. In this example Fashion is the Master Dataset and RCOM is the available Dataset considering keys, period types and aggregation level.
