Defining REST M3 Interface Settings
You can configure DMP to enable the Open Authentication feature that enables you to create, import, and export a Dataset to and from M3 Business Engine Cloud Edition by using REST API.
- Select Menu > Setup > Settings.

Select the Data tab and click M3 Interface.
Note: Ensure that the Activate Import/Export check box is selected.
- Click the REST tab.

Specify this information:
- MI REST Service
- Specify the URL in the Uri field.
- Authentication
- Select an authentication type then specify this information:
- Basic

- User Id
- Specify the user ID.
- Password
- Specify the account password.
- Certificate
-
- Certificate File
- Specify the location to where the certificate file is stored.
- OAuth 1.0

- Consumer key
- Specify the certificate consumer key.
- Secret key
- Specify the secret key.
- OAuth 2.0
- Specify the ION API file.

- Configurations
- Select a configuration from the list or click the ellipsis button to create a new configuration.
- The OAuth 2.0 Settings dialog box is displayed.

- On the OAuth 2.0 Settings dialog box, specify a name for the configuration in the first field.
- Click Upload then navigate to the directory of the .ionapi file that was previously downloaded.
- Click Open to load the
content on the second field.
Optionally, you can also copy and paste the content of the .ionapi text in the second field.
- Click Save.
- Click Yes.
You can now select the new configuration that you created.
- Options
- Select from these options:
- Activate Import M3 data
- Activate M3 Dataset
- Activate Import Data Lake
- Activate Export Data Lake

On Authentication, click Test to verify the connection to M3.
The MI API Test dialog box is displayed containing all the details for the M3 connection. If the connection to M3 failed, a warning message is displayed.
- Click OK to close the dialog box or select another tab to continue.
