About Select Version

You can use this feature to view and enable versions from a different window.

Note:  If you are not logged in, the Log in Server is displayed. DMP selects the last used server or central version if possible. Otherwise, it automatically selects the first available server or central version..

You can navigate to other DMP functionalities after the successful log in instead of switching view from Select Version.

Follow these steps to select a version:

  1. Select Menu > Select Version.

    The Select Version dialog box is displayed.

  2. On Select Version, select the version you need.

    If you are searching for a version, you can press CTRL + F to open Find then specify the version you need.

    This table describes the columns on Select Version.

    Column Description
    Version Displays the order of different versions created under the same folder.
    Location Displays the location of the data in a specific folder.
    Name Identifies the version by name. You can change the name in the Version Control Properties dialog box.
    Description Displays the description of the version.
    Resource Displays the file name of the version. You can use the file name to find the file of the version that you need.
    Status Displays if the version is open or closed.
    Sync. with Displays the uploaded datasets. You can view which of the versions (by version number) is synchronized with versions on the server.
    DB Size Displays the file size in MB measurement.
    Last Import Displays the date and time stamp of your last import.
    Last Export Displays the date and time stamp of your last export.
  3. Click Select or double-click the line to select the version.
