Consolidate market forecast proposals

The administrator combines all the Market Forecast Proposals into one Sales Forecast Proposal. To reach a consensus the administrator collaborates with other forecast participants. M3 DMP does not directly support the communication but functionality for export of data and information is available.

The market forecast consolidation is an Administrator activity. The purpose of the activity is to get a consolidated view of the entire forecast across all forecasters. The activity is performed when all forecasters have created their market forecast proposals.

1. Open M3 DMP and Log In as Administrator.

2. Inspect To Do List

   The To Do list can be inspected for updates that are marked of their forecast. If anyone has not marked, then it can be verified either by contacting the forecaster or by inspecting the Changes list to see if there are any changes made to the server by the forecaster.

3. Create a consolidated scenario part.

   Select Lists > Scenarios. A dialog appears where you can create new scenarios. Press the New button to create a scenario. This scenario consists of all scenario parts in the list. Select all scenario parts and attach them to the scenario you created. See About Scenario Part and Sales Activities and Create Scenario Part/Sales Activity.

4. Attach the consolidated scenario part to one or more favorite views In order to inspect the changes you need to attach the consolidated scenario part to a favorite view. This can be done in the Favorite View panel by highlighting a Favorite View and select Properties. Here you can change selection of scenario part for a Favorite View in the Scenario tab. 5. Open the Favorite View to inspect changes.

   The consolidated changes from all forecasters can now be inspected in the Favorite View by opening the pivot sheet.
