Dataset Insight

You can display several information about a dataset using the insight report, Dataset Insight. The insight report can use of global filters to inspect a subset of the dataset.

Key info boxes

There are up to twelve key info boxes on top of the insight report. The boxes display the unique count of each Basic Key or Extra Key in the Dataset and applying the global filter if in use in the workflow.

Each box contains an icon, key name, and unique count.

The information below the chart and table displays the details for the selected key. You can click on the Key info box to select another key.

Chart

The bar chart displays the first ten records of the selected key type. The chart can display one or two measures and the formula measure if it is configured.

Measure 1 and 2 is displayed on the left Y-axis.

Formula is displayed on the right Y-axis.

Table

The table displays the records of the selected key type. This is paged and can display ten entries per page.

The table contains these columns:

  • Product (Key)
  • Name (Attribute)
  • Count (Records in the dataset of the specific key)
  • M1 (Measure)
  • Average

In the table, the name of the Favorite view used for Drill to is displayed.

You can click the individual key to open the Favorite view and display the data related to the key. You can also drill down or drill to with all key values from the table or the top 10 key values from the table.
