Logging in using Active Directory

The AD Auto Login feature enables the user to automatically log in to the application using a Windows AD account. Ensure that you meet these requirements for configuration and setup:

  • DMP Server must be 15.1.5.0 or later
  • DMP Clients must be 16.1.0 or later

To use the auto login feature, ensure that the Windows AD account is setup with a user profile. To update the user information:

  1. Select Menu > Users > Users.
  2. Double-click a user in the list.

The Update User Information dialog box is displayed.

  3. In the AD Login field, specify the Windows account for the selected user.
  4. Click OK.
  5. To verify if the changes are applied, select Menu. The Switch User Profile is displayed instead of Log Off Server. Ensure that the current logged in user profile is mapped in the current logged in Windows AD account.
Note: The Windows AD account can be defined manually for multiple user profiles. This enables the user to select which user profile to use. In default setting, the last user profile who accessed the application is automatically logged in. To use a different user profile, select Menu > Switch User Profile and select a user from the list.

The Switch User Profile feature also enables the user to switch between define URLs in the application. The validation of user profiles for each defined URL must also be applied.

Note: In the URL drop-down list, you can select from the six URLs previously used. The current URL is displayed by default.

Updating the user information is only enabled for Administrators. The AD Autologin feature is only applicable for Administrator and Central Forecaster user profiles.
