Create a Dataset

  1. Select Datasets > Create.
    The Create Dataset dialog box is displayed.
  2. Specify this information:
    General
    Specify the M3 BE Company, Division, and Name. Change the default Dataset (M3 BE) or specify the File Name (M3 BE).
    Budgets
    Leave blank or specify a different budget and click Insert. To remove a default budget, mark the budget and click Delete.
    Keys
    Select up to six different key values from the drop-down list.
    Periods
    To define the time periods where data can be changed or predefined in standard time periods (weeks, periods, and months), select Period Type from the drop-down list.
    Data Type
    Select any from the drop-down list.
    Integration
    Select Standard Total Forecast or Total Forecast from the drop-down list.
  3. Click Create.
    The list of available Datasets is displayed, including the newly created Dataset.
