Infor M3 Product Configurator (PCR) is the heart of the Fashion solution. All styles and their attributes (color, size, etc) that lead to the end items for the delivery to customers start by using the M3 Product Configurator.
M3 PCR is used for many type of businesses. For core Fashion business we use the M3 PCR in a very light format so that we can define styles and SKUs and that maintenance of product structures (Bill of Materials /Bill of Operations) can start from a style level and if required exceptions can be made to style - color or SKU level. Also business that are in the embellishment-, made-to-measure, yarn and textile business will benefit from using M3 PCR. The M3 PCR can be used in combination with what is called more traditional discrete items that don't require any configuration and thus do not use the M3 PCR.
Infor M3 Product Configurator (PCR) enables you to take sales orders for customized products and produce those unique products for your customer. When products are defined, configuration rules are established and during entry of sales orders and quotations, the user works in an interactive rule-based question and answer environment. The tight integration between the product definition and the sales process enables you to offer the right product to the right customer, assure customer-specific sales prices, and supply a lead-time for each specific order.
Infor M3 Attribute Control enables you to assign characteristics to a product. The combination of item and attributes was designed to manage variable characteristics of an item in stock. Often are these attributes set through the QA/LI process. Attributes then works very well in the full stock scenario with Allocations, ATP, Sales and purchase price etc. The usage of attributes in BoM also works fine with the inheritance etc.
A collection of attributes can be collected and stored when a lot or balance ID is created in stock. These attributes can be used to define natural and variable characteristics of an item across different lots such as shade, cut (jewelry), quality, labels, and customs information. Attributes are actively used across the supply chain in processes such as material planning, costing and stock valuation, purchase and sales order pricing, available-to-promise and allocation.
