Configuring for attended mode

The attended mode automates RPA flows that require user intervention by using the RPA Assistant application to trigger the automation.

To run in attended mode, you must complete these requirements:

  1. To download and use the latest version of RPA Assistant from the RPA Mastermind, follow these steps:
    1. Go to OS > RPA Management > Home
    2. Click Download RPA Installer.
  2. To install RPA in the attended mode, follow these steps:
    Note: RPA-Admin security role is required to do this action.
    1. Run the downloaded RPA installer file.
    2. Select Attended RPA.

  3. To set up the authorization of your account in RPA, follow these steps:
    1. Go to OS > RPA Management > Manage > Authorization.
    2. Click Authorize on both IONAPI and Microsoft Office 365.
  4. To add user in the process flow users list, follow these steps:
    Note: RPA-Admin security role is required to do this action.
    1. Navigate to Home > Manage > Processes.
    2. Click the arrow icon corresponding to Invoice Processing.
    3. Click Add user on the next screen.
  5. To download the ION API file of the RPA Assistant, follow these steps:
    Note: IONAPI-Administrator security role is required to do this action.
    1. Go to OS > API Gateway > Authorized Apps.
    2. Search for RPA Tray Assistant.
      Note: RPA Tray Assistant corresponds to RPA Assistant application.
    3. Click the Download icon. The .ionapi file is downloaded to your default local folder.

  6. To log in to the RPA Assistant application, follow these steps:
    1. Open the RPA Assistant application and click Add an Account.
    2. Select the downloaded .ionapi file and click Open.
    3. Double click the added profile.
    4. On the sign-in page, specify your username and password, then click Sign in.
    5. On the Request for Approval window, click Allow.
      After successful authentication, the RPA Assistant refreshes and displays the available solutions.

  7. To configure the user arguments, follow these steps:
    1. In RPA Assistant, click the vertical ellipsis icon corresponding to the name of the solution.
    2. Select Show Process Details.
    3. In the User Arguments, specify the user arguments or user parameters.
    4. Click Save.
    5. To return, click Back.
