Enabling bookmark in a record

Use this procedure to bookmark a user's record in M3. To access the bookmark, right-click a record where you configured the bookmark, then select Open.

Note: This option is only enabled if the selected output fields meet these requirements:
  • Key string (KSTR) fields
  • Combination of table fields and program fields:
    • Program field should either be YPGM or PGNM.
    • Table name should either be YFIL or FILE.
  1. Switch Enable bookmarks to enable additional bookmark options for the configuration.
  2. Specify this information:
    Program
    Specify an M3 program, for example MMS001. Click Get beside the field to get accurate bookmark parameters for the program.
    Table
    Specify an M3 Table, for example OCUSMA. Click Get to get accurate bookmark parameters for the table.
    Sort Order
    Specify an M3 sort order value, for example 1.
    View
    Specify an M3 view value, for example STD01-01.
    Query
    Specify a bookmark query value enclosed within curly brackets, for example ITNO:{ITNO}.
  3. Click Advanced.
  4. Specify this information:
    Key Name - Value
    Specify a key name for the bookmark. Click the plus icon to add more fields for this option.
    Parameter Name - Value
    Specify a parameter name for the bookmark. Click the plus icon to add more fields for this option.
    Filter Field Name - Value
    Specify a filter field name for the bookmark. Click the plus icon to add more fields for this option.

    Click OK.

  5. Click OK in the Input/Output Parameters dialog.
