Create Work Order
Use this widget to create a quick work order.
Prerequisite
Before using the widget, you must activate these tables in the M3 Function Search administration:
- MITMAS
- MILOIN
- MPDSCF

APIs used in the widget
The Create Work Order widget requires application program interfaces (APIs) that retrieve and display the appropriate data.

Creating a work order
- Click .
- Specify this information:
- Product
- Specify a product number.
- Serial number
- Select a serial number from the dropdown. Serial numbers are automatically populated after a product is selected.
- Service
- Select a service from the dropdown. Available services are automatically populated after a product is selected.
- Text
- Optionally, specify any text that can be printed in
different work order documents.Note: This field can accept a maximum of 60 characters.
- Work center
- This field uses the same value as the work center from the widget configuration. If necessary, you can still modify the auto-populated value from this field.
- Error code
- Select the error code.
- Priority
- This field uses the same value of priority from the widget configuration. If necessary, you can still modify the auto-populated value from this field.
- Date
- Specify the start date for the work order.Note: Select only the current and future dates for the transaction. An error message is displayed if you select a past or invalid date.
- Attachment (optional)
- Optionally, browse and upload an image for the work
order.Note: To successfully attach an image, you must configure the widget to include the IDM document type and attributes. Without the proper configuration, you will receive an error message in the widget when you use this attachment field.
- Street address
- Specify numeric identifiers alongside the street name of
the work order location. Note: This field can accept a maximum of 36 characters.
- Postal code
- Specify a postal code based on the city of the work order address.
- Country
- Select the country where the work order must be identified.
- Latitude
- Specify a latitude that overrides the coordinate set by the GPS.
- Longitude
- Specify a longitude overrides the coordinate set by the GPS.
- Place
- Select from the available list of places.
- Click . The message stating that the work order is created also shows the work order number. Click the generated number to view your record in 'Work Order. Open' (MOS100).
