Configuring the M3 Information Monitor widget
Follow this widget configuration to use basic API transactions.
- Click Configure Widget.

Specify this information:
- Title
- Click the unlock button and specify a widget title.
- Automatic Refresh Rate
- Click the drop down field and select a refresh rate minute interval.
- Display
- Select either Default to apply the grid view or Tiles to apply the tiles view for all records. You can only add a maximum number of four tiles in a monitor and when this is reached, +Add Monitor is disabled.

Click Add Monitor and configure the
monitor to be added.
- Monitor Name
- Specify a monitor name.
- Translations
- Click this option to translate the monitor name into a different language.
- Severity Indication
- Enable this setting to display the configured indicators for the number of
records.
If enabled, you can click Configure. On the Configure Severity Indication window, use the slider to apply a color and add a numerical range for the input to signify the level of severity.
- Primary action
- Select the action to perform when you click a
monitor.You can select from these options:
- Open: This option performs a drillback to M3 using the details specified in the configuration. For example, clicking a monitor directs you to 'Item. Open' (MMS001/B).
- Drilldown: This option performs a drilldown to the specific data retrieved from M3. If you click a monitor that shows 15 customers for example, the list of customers with their respective details get displayed on grid view.
- No Action: This option disables drillback and drilldown. Clicking a monitor does not trigger any action.
- Max record count
- Specify the number of records to be displayed for the specific monitor.
- Bookmark Options
- Click Get Bookmark and select from
the existing bookmark options.
Optionally, modify your own bookmark.

Specify this M3 API information:
- Program
- Click the look-up button in this required field. Search for an M3 program, for example CRS610, and provide a description to filter the results. Click a record from the programs list and click Select.
- Transaction
- Click the look-up button in this required field. Search for a transaction, for example SearchCustomer, and provide a description to filter the results. Click a record from the transactions list and click Select.
- Input
- Click the look-up button.On the data grid, you can perform these tasks:
- Select Input to identify the input fields to be submitted to the API transaction.
- Select User input to enable a user to override the input value from the widget actions on the widget menu.
- Optionally, specify an entity type if you require the widget to retrieve business context messages, for example, InforCustomerPartyMaster. And then specify an input in the Value field that uses the entity type enclosed in a bracket. This example shows the format: {InforCustomerPartyMaster}. The same input is reflected in the Id1 context message which you can use as an input field to run the MI request.
- Output
- Click the look-up button in this required field.On the data grid, you can perform these tasks:
- Select Output to identify the output fields to be submitted to the API transaction.
- Specify a value under the View Order column to specify the order of the output fields for display, for example CUNO;CUNM;STAT;CUCL.
- Select User input to enable a user to override the input value from the widget actions on the widget menu.
- Change the display labels of columns through the Modify Description functionality. You can also specify a translation for the new label. For the translated label to reflect, you must set the equivalent language in the user settings of Infor OS.
- Select a maximum record count.
- Select the Standard bookmark variant for your
output fields with key strings (KSTR):
- If Modify Standard Configuration is enabled, you can specify an option, start panel, and focus field for your bookmark.
- To use the default key string for the record, disable Modify Standard Configuration.
- Select the Configurable bookmark variant to enable a bookmark for a specific record.
- Display content as
- Select a display type from the list. If you select graph, additional fields
should be configured.

Optionally, add an action item for the records in the configured monitor.

- Click OK.
