Rental Depot Manager Workspace

The Rental Manager uses the workspace to maximize its comprehensive overview of Rental activities, allowing users to quickly assess key metrics and operations. The workspace features intuitive dashboards that highlight priority orders including overviews of rentals in progress. equipment available to rent, equipment that is due to be returned shortly, and rental quotes that are due to expire.

Users can easily drill down into specific data points for detailed insights, enabling them to manage processes, address issues, and streamline workflows effectively. This dual-layered approach empowers rental managers to decide while maintaining operational efficiency.

This workspace contains these widgets:


Widget	Description
My Day	Displays the current date, greeting message, and the user's icon and first name.
Top 10 Active Rental Customers	Displays the top 10 rental customers that are sorted based on their total number of agreements. You can view the total count of agreements when you hover over a bar in the chart. Hover over a bar line to show the total number of agreements and customer number in a tooltip. You can click a bar line to drill down. On the records page, right-click a record and select Open to perform a drillback to M3. See M3 Information Viewer.
Top 10 Active Rental Items	Displays the top 10 rental items that are most rented to customers, based on their total number of agreements. You can view the total count of agreements when you hover over a doughnut in the chart. Hover over a chart section to show the rental item number and the total number of agreements for the rental item in a tooltip. Click a section from the chart to perform a drill down. On the records page, right-click a record and select Open to perform a drillback to M3. See M3 Information Viewer.
On Your Radar	Focuses on managing priority tasks. This widget contains matrices that open card tasks in the Required Actions widget: Available to Rent: Displays items measured in yard that are available for rent and other generic items. When you review in yard items, you can perform a drillback and view details of your selected rental item or planned order in M3. Rentals in Progress: Displays the number of rental objects and their statuses, specifically items tagged with ongoing delivery, items that are currently on rent, items that are tagged for return, and items that are off rent and are lined up for inspection. When you review either delivery in progress or return in progress records, you can perform a drillback by clicking an agreement number to view more details in M3. When you review on rent items, you can perform a drillback and view details of your selected item number or agreement number in M3. When you review off rent inspection, you can move an item for inspection to its targeted rental location. Click Move on the item line to transfer and click Yes in the prompt to confirm. After the move is completed, close the task and select Refresh from the widget menu. The item is removed from the inspections list and transferred to a different card where applicable, for example an item moved to a rental location is then viewed in the list of in yard items. Agreement Lines Expired/Expiring: Displays the number of agreement lines that are grouped based on their expiration status. You can view records of expired lines, lines that are due for expiration on the current date, lines that are about to expire in the next 7 days, and lines that are about to expire in the upcoming thirty one days. When you review expired rental agreement lines, you can delete an agreement number. To update the list of agreement lines, close the task and select Refresh from the widget menu. Rental Quotes Expired/Expiring: Displays the number of rental quotes that are grouped based on their expiration status. You can view records of expired quotes, quotes that are due for expiration on the current date, quotes that are about to expire in the next 7 days, and quotes that are about to expire in the upcoming forty days. For every card task, click Review to view a breakdown of records and identify tasks to address. Optionally, you may hide a card task by clicking the bell icon. When you review the available records, you may access these additional functionality through clicking Review or View All: Select all or any records to export. Click Export to CSV. Drill back into an M3 program by clicking a record with a working link. Search for a particular record. On the Required Actions widget, clicking View All provides you a single view of all records in tabular format. Whereas, clicking View snooze list enables you to show the list of hidden card tasks. From the list, you can return a hidden card task on the main widget display by clicking Unsnooze.
Quick Actions	Displays all tasks that you perform frequently. This widget shows this default task: Where am I working: Use this option to check in at the current location where you are working. The checked in location is updated in the user profile in 'User. Open' (MNS150). See Where am I working.
Important Links	Provides direct access to preconfigured programs in the Infor M3 application. This widget shows default links that drill back to M3 where you can view more details. See menu widget in the Infor OS User and Administration Documentation Library.
Customer Contacts	Use this widget to get the contact information of customers who are registered in M3 through 'Customer. Open' (CRS610). When you access the widget, it displays records linked to the logged-in user. You can browse through the customers, each showing their corresponding number, name, and associated contact information. Customer Equipment List	Use this widget to show the list of equipment for a specific customer. See Customer Equipment List.
Rental Agreement Creation	Use this widget to create rental agreements and quotations for rental equipments. See Rental Agreement Creation.

Programs and sorting orders used in the workspace

The drillback functionality in some of the workspace widgets require specific configuration for filtering the correct data in Infor M3. When you perform a drillback to any program, check for the Function Search query. If the Function Search is disabled, you must create a record by specifying a combination of program, sorting order, and table for the search on 'Standard Search. Open' (CMS021/B).
