Move to Location

Use this widget to move products from one location to another within the same warehouse.

Prerequisite

  • Before using the widget, you must activate the MITPCE table in the M3 Function Search administration. See information about updating table indexes in the M3 Core User and Administration Library (Cloud).
  • You must configure the widget first before you can transfer a product to a new location.

APIs used in the widget

The Move to Location widget requires application program interfaces (APIs) that retrieve and display appropriate data.

Transferring a product to a new location

  1. Specify this information to check the warehouse location:
    Item Number
    Specify and select an item number from the list of matching records.

    Optionally, select an item from Item Details widget or from Infor M3 to retrieve an item number.

    Lot Number
    Specify and select an item number from the list of matching records.
  2. Click Check Location. In the warehouse contextual action panel, you can view the details of the warehouse and the product.
  3. To move the product to the new location, specify this information:
    Current Location
    Select the original location within the warehouse. If only one location is retrieved, the value is automatically added to this field.
    New Location
    Specify the new location within the warehouse.
    Quantity
    The maximum quantity number or on-hand balance of the product is automatically displayed when the current location is specified. You can use the spin box to reduce the quantity or specify the available quantity manually.
  4. Click Save.

The Move to Location widget receives Infor Item Master either as an inforBusinessContext or inforWidgetContext message.
