Administration tasks overview

Running workflows and tasks are managed in the ION application or with ION widgets. Some common tasks are described on a high level.

Task Manager widget

This procedure is only specific to the end user that can administer workflows after deployment.

  • You can add the widget to a workspace or as a contextual widget in the smart panel. It filters workflows and task-related details, for example, assigned user, overdue and escalated tasks, and additionally enable the user to manage different tasks.
  • Using the widget, you can assign, unassign, and add additional user to a task. This is useful if the current user assigned to the task is unavailable or if the task has a high priority.
  • A user with the appropriate permissions to manage a task can view the workflow progress and perform actions on the task.
  • To use the Task Manager widget, users must have the security role associated with the Workflow Authorizations of type MANAGE for the specific workflow in ION.

Active Workflows

You can also generate reports in ION, navigate to Monitors & Workflows > Active Workflows.

The user must have the IONDesk security role to have access to Active Workflows.
