Preparing to run automation in attended mode

The attended mode automates RPA flows that require user intervention by using the RPA Assistant application to trigger the automation.

To run in attended mode, you must complete these requirements:

  1. To download and use the latest version of RPA Assistant from the RPA Mastermind, follow these steps:
    1. Go to OS > RPA Management > Home
    2. Click Download RPA Installer.
  2. To install RPA in the attended mode, follow these steps:
    1. Run the downloaded RPA installer file.
    2. Select Attended RPA.

      See Infor OS User and Administration Library (Cloud) and navigate to Administrator > RPA > Installing RPA > Attended installation > Installing RPA in the Attended mode.

  3. To configure your RPA Mastermind authorization, follow these steps:
    1. Go to OS > RPA Management > Manage > Authorization.
    2. In the rows of IONAPI, click Authorize.
    3. If prompted, click Yes.
  4. To add your account to the users list of the RPA Mastermind process, follow these steps:
    1. Go to OS > RPA Management > Manage > Processes
    2. Click Add.
    Note: RPA-Admin security role is required to do this action.
  5. To download the ION API file of the RPA Assistant, follow these steps:
    1. Go to OS > API Gateway > Authorized Apps.
    2. Search for RPA Tray Assistant.
    3. click the Download Credentials icon. The ION API file is saved in your Downloads file folder.

    Note: RPA-Admin security role is required to do this action. Additionally, RPA Tray Assistant corresponds to the RPA Assistant application.
  6. To log in to the RPA Assistant application, follow these steps:
    1. Click Add an Account and select the RPA Tray Assistant.ionapi file.
    2. Click the account to login.

  7. To verify or install the latest version of RPA Assistant, follow these steps:
    1. Locate the name of the solution, then click the vertical ellipsis icon.
    2. Select Install New Version.
    3. On the Versions tab, select the required version from the Available Versions.
    4. Click Update.
  8. To configure the user parameters, follow these steps:
    1. Locate the name of the solution, then click the vertical ellipsis icon.
    2. Select User Arguments.
    3. Specify the user arguments or user parameters.
    4. Click Save.
    5. To return, click Back.
