Limitations

This solution has these limitations:

• We recommend that the PDF documents do not exceed 5 MB of size and do not contain more than 30 to 40 pages with resolution of 300 DPI. Higher resolution typically decreases performance.
• Delivery number must be present on each page in the scanned document.
• The name of the approver is limited to 15 characters in M3.
• While the automation significantly reduces manual effort, human verification of RPA process results is recommended. Handwritten data may be misinterpreted by the Document Processor, especially if the layout is incorrect or handwriting is unclear, which can lead to incorrect approvals or quantity updates. Reviewing ION Notifications and log files helps ensure accuracy and supports auditability.
• To enable the extraction of handwritten data, the Delivery Note must use a custom layout for the printer file MMS480PF. This layout must include these items:
  • Approved by - Name in CAPITAL letters field
  • Act qty bU column for the actual quantity
  Note: If a tenant is already using a custom layout, it must be reviewed and updated to include these required fields.
• Handwritten quantity extraction only works if Customer Order (CO) line numbers are printed on the Delivery Note.
