Preparing to run automation in attended mode
The attended mode automates RPA flows that require user intervention by using the RPA Assistant application to trigger the automation.
To run in attended mode, you must complete these requirements:
- To download and use the latest version of RPA Assistant from the RPA Mastermind, follow these steps:
- Go to OS > RPA Management > Home
- Click Download RPA Installer.
- To install RPA in the attended mode, follow these steps:
Note: RPA-Admin security role is required to do this action.
- Run the downloaded RPA installer file.
- Select Attended RPA.
See Infor OS User and Administration Library (Cloud) and navigate to Administrator > RPA > Installing RPA > Attended installation > Installing RPA in the Attended mode.
- To download the ION API file of the RPA Assistant, follow these steps:
Note: IONAPI-Administrator security role is required to do this action.
- Go to OS > API Gateway > Authorized Apps.
- Search for RPA Tray Assistant.
- Click the Download icon. The .ionapi file is downloaded to your default local folder.
- To log in to the RPA Assistant application, follow these steps:
- Open the RPA Assistant application and click Add an Account.
- Select the downloaded .ionapi file and click Open.
- Double click the added profile.
- On the sign-in page, specify your username and password, then click Sign in.
- On the Request for Approval window, click Allow.
After successful authentication, the RPA Assistant refreshes and displays the available solutions.
- To verify or install the latest version of RPA Assistant, follow these steps:
Note: To perform these steps, your account must be added to the users list of the RPA Management process. Contact your RPA Administrator.
- In RPA Assistant, click the vertical ellipsis icon corresponding to the name of the solution.
- Select Install New Version.
- On the Versions tab, select the required version from the Available Versions drop-down menu.
- Click Update.
- To configure the user parameters, follow these steps:
- In RPA Assistant, click the vertical ellipsis icon corresponding to the name of the solution.
- Select Show Process Details.
- In the User Arguments, specify the user arguments or user parameters.
- Click Save.
- To return, click Back.
