Approval workflow

The request starts the M3_CustomerCreationRequest workflow in ION.

This list includes all the elements in the approval workflow:
  1. After a request is submitted, a setup workflow is initiated. The setup usually consists of a series of technical activities required for configuring the workflow. For example, it includes setting the company in the workflow according to the service account user's default company in M3.
  2. For the actual approval, tasks are distributed to users in the M3CustomerCreationApproval_L1 group for review and approval, using an approval matrix. After the first level is completed, a second task is distributed to users in the M3CustomerCreationApproval_L2 group for final approval.

The information provided from the request is presented to the user in the task, along with options to approve or reject. A field for additional information is available for notes. If the task is not completed by the due date, an email reminder is sent.

  3. If the decision is set to approved, continue to the next step; otherwise, proceed to step 5.
  4. The requester is informed that a customer is created.
    1. Notification is sent to the requester that the customer account request is approved.
    2. A task to create a preliminary customer is designated to the group, M3CustomerCreationCustomerService. It contains a drillback to 'Customer. Open' (CRS610/B) in M3 where to facilitate the creation of a preliminary customer.

The user is required to specify the customer number in the task which is to be used for the configuration afterward. An email reminder is sent if the task is not completed by the due date.

    3. The preliminary customer is created. The request details and preliminary customer number are used to synchronously start a new workflow. This workflow coordinates the tasks required to configure and activate the customer.
  5. A notification is sent to the requester with the message that the request has been rejected.
