Tailored Service Guidelines

Use this widget to retrieve or generate troubleshooting guidelines associated with a specific service rendered for a product. The guidelines include the product error, possible causes, troubleshooting actions, repair comments, and notes. The guidelines are generated by GenAI based on the product’s historical record of rendered services compiled by the Tailored Service Guidelines widget. However, the content may still require verification to ensure the accuracy of AI-generated responses. The information displayed on the widget is also saved as a record in the text block of ‘Work Order. Open’ (MOS100) in M3.

Prerequisite

When you use this widget from workspace, ensure that you have an application or widget, such as the M3 Information Viewer, configured to publish the required context messages. The context message data is used by the Tailored Service Guidelines widget to retrieve related work orders and services.

Limitation

Responses generated by AI may not always be accurate or reliable. You must verify the information generated by AI and use it responsibly.

Generating the service guidelines

  1. Click any product or service from an existing work order.
  2. On the Service Guidelines widget, click Generate.

    The Guidelines dialog shows the service summary and the service guidelines to be posted on the widget.

  3. Optionally, modify the service guidelines generated by Gen AI.
  4. If your summary requires translation, select an available language from the Language field. The summary may take awhile to translate.
  5. Click Save to save the summary in your selected language.
