M3 Product Manager Workspace

The M3 Product Manager Workspace provides a centralized environment that displays product, inventory, purchasing, and supplier information in one place. By consolidating operational data and key activities, the workspace helps product managers prioritize work, reduce the risk of oversights, and make informed day‑to‑day decisions without switching between multiple programs.

The workspace displays the most frequently ordered items from the past 180 days and supports daily item management through functions such as Manage Items, Item Overview, Manage BOM and Kits, Monitor Inventory, and Create Items using the Item Data Interface. These functions help ensure that item data remains accurate, current, and aligned with operational requirements.

Purchasing and supply activities are supported through the Purchase Order Hub, where users can monitor purchase orders and review supply and demand information. From this area, users can view open orders by item, evaluate alternate supplier availability, and access supplier records that contain key identifiers and status details. This consolidated view enables early detection of potential supply issues and supports faster and more effective responses.

The workspace also supports supplier creation through structured data entry fields and includes a location check‑in feature that establishes the user’s working context and retrieves location‑specific information.

Design and flexibility

The M3 Product Manager Workspace is built using standard, configurable widgets such as M3 Information Monitor, M3 Information Viewer, and M3 Information Search & List. This design allows organizations to adapt the layout and content to their operational priorities while maintaining a consistent and reusable structure.
Note: Before using the workspace in a production environment, you must copy it to your own version. Updates to the standard workspace may be deployed at any time.

Purchasing and Supplier Visibility

In addition to product management, the workspace supports day‑to‑day purchasing activities by combining supplier insights, operational work lists, and direct navigation to procurement areas. It presents a Top 10 Suppliers view based on the number of purchase orders created in the past 180 days and provides access to key functional areas through Important Links, including:

  • Purchase Order Management
  • Purchase Setup & Costing
  • Reports & Statistics
  • Shipping & Logistics

The workspace also highlights supplier‑related items that require attention, such as New Suppliers and Stopped Suppliers, and provides search and drill‑down capabilities to review supplier details. Action-oriented lists, such as My Open Order Lines and My Planned Purchase Orders, help users prioritize tasks and move efficiently from monitoring to follow‑up activities.
