Tailoring

Tailoring options are used to add or modify elements in an application, for example, making changes to screen layouts, objects, functions, properties, and default values.

Tailoring options are used to add or modify elements in an application, for example, making changes to list layouts, document and report XMLs, security, definition of CDFs, and so on.

These are some of the ways that M3 can be tailored:

  • Configurable lists
  • XML Out
  • Definition and activation of CDFs

To configure the lists and XML Out for documents and reports, use the appropriate M3 functions. Through these you can add information from other M3 tables, work with calculated and other type of logical operations, and so on.

To define CDFs, use the CDF functionality in M3. Through this you can add and maintain existing CDFs. This includes changing descriptions and various metadata for the CDFs. To add CDFs to detailed panels, use the H5 personalization. To use CDFs in lists and XML Out, use the normal functions for editing the lists and XML Out.
