Connecting a MAK project to a repository

Use this procedure to connect a MAK project to a repository when there are no available entries connected to your development project in a Subversion repository.

Before you can connect a MAK project to a repository, you must add a Subversion repository and create a MAK project. See Adding a repository location in M3 Adaptation Kit User Guide.

  1. In the MAK Navigator tab, select a project that you want to connect to the repository.
  2. Right-click and select Team > Share Project. The Share Project window is displayed.
  3. Select SVN in the list of repository plug-ins.
  4. Click Next. A list of existing repositories available in your workspace is displayed.
  5. Select the option to use existing repository location and select your repository in the list.
  6. Click Next.
  7. Select the name of the folder in the SVN repository. You can either use the project name as folder name or you can use a specified folder name.
  8. Click Next. The Ready to Share Project window is displayed.
  9. Type your comments in the text field and click Finish.
  10. When prompted to switch to the Synchronize view, click Yes.
  11. In the Synchronize view, select your project top node.
  12. Right-click your project and select Commit to save everything under the selected project to SVN.
  13. Switch to the Workspace Navigator.
  14. Verify that your project is now connected to the repository.

The icon is changed and the repository name is enclosed in between brackets [….] after the project name.
