Installing the Subclipse plug-in for Eclipse

Use this procedure to install the Subclipse plug-in for Eclipse. The MAK SVN Team Support is packaged in a separate Eclipse feature that can be installed separately when SVN integration is needed. To be able to install that feature, you must first install Subclipse.

  1. Start Eclipse.
  2. Select Help > Install New Software. The Available Software window is displayed.
  3. Click on Add... button. The Add Site window is displayed.
  4. Specify SVN 1.8 in the Name field then specify this URL in the Location field:
  5. Click OK. The Subclipse update site is now listed in the Available Software list.
  6. Expand the view of Subclipse update site and select the required features.
    Note: Features with the Required label must be selected.
  7. Click Next. A list of the items that will be installed is displayed.
  8. Verify the checked items and click Next.
  9. Accept the terms of the license agreement and click Finish.
  10. When the installation is finished, you are prompted to restart Eclipse for the changes to take place. Click Yes.

    The workbench is restarted and the Subclipse plug-in is installed.
