Master Copy

When adding Version Control in an M3 or MAK context, you need to determine what and where is the master copy. The master copy can possibly be on a file system such as the M3 BE Server or on a Subversion repository. The file system and the repository should be the same for modified, or new programs, as long as you have committed all the changes to the repository.

When committing changes, it must be done from the MAK Navigator and not from the Workspace Navigator.

As a standard, if a source exists on both a file system and a repository, the source on the file system is considered the master copy.
