My Pages
My Pages provide an overview of your current pages. If your administrator assigned one or more pages to you through the mandatory pages setting, those pages are disabled at the top of the list. The mandatory pages cannot be removed or reordered.
All other public or private pages can be reordered and deleted from this view.
There are two types of pages: private pages and public pages. A page can be locked. A lock prevents accidental editing of widget content. Additionally, a page that is locked will not show the buttons for Settings and Close (delete) when you move the pointer over a widget. A locked page does not mean that the page is locked for editing by Start page administrators or other users. It means that they must unlock the page to edit it. Consider locking the page as a reminder that the page should not be changed. You can lock a page through the
button. The lock icon also indicates that you do not have edit rights. Depending on your edit rights, any of these scenarios may apply to you:
- If you are allowed to edit the page, you can unlock the page from the Page Settings.
- If you are not allowed to edit the page, the Page Settings will be in read-only view.
This table shows the start page icons or combination of icons and its descriptions:
