Searching for program

Use this procedure to search for programs of M3 Business Engine (BE) system by system configuration.

  1. On the Search tab, select Search By System Configuration.
  2. In the Keywords field, specify a keyword to search.
  3. Select an MDP BE System to use.

    See System configuration fields.

  4. Select an entity: Program.

    See M3 BE entities.

  5. Click the More Options link for additional search filter.
    1. Select a component.
    2. Select a category.

      See Program category list.

    3. Select a program filter to use.

      With Bookmark - to select only bookmark-enabled programs.

      With Bookmark Parameter - to select only bookmark parameter-enabled programs.

      With Bookmark and Bookmark Parameter - to select both bookmark-enabled and bookmark parameter-enabled programs.

      Function Programs - to select only function programs.

      MI Programs - to select only MI programs.

    4. Set the search limit. The default search limit is 500.

  6. Click Search.

    On the Search Results tab, the Entity (Total match) and a data list with this information is displayed:

    Column heading Description
    Program name Name of the program.
    Description Description of the program.
    Component Component of the program.
    Category Category of the program.
    Area Area of the program.
    Bookmark To toggle bookmark enabled.
    Bookmark Parameter To toggle bookmark parameter enabled.
    Source Code Click the corresponding icon to view source code, view annotation report, or compare source codes.
  7. Use these options to manage the results:

    • To sort the results alphabetically or numerically, click the Sort icon located in one or more column headings.

    • To filter the results, click the Filter icon in the last column and type a dynamic free text filter for each column.

  8. To view program relations, click a program name.
