Search by component details
In the left pane, go to the Search tab to Search by Component. The view shows the standard features and fields:
Component fields
These options allows you to perform search on M3 BE by Component.
| Fields | Description |

| Program Name |
Specify a name associated with the program you are searching for. Search keywords can contain alphanumeric characters, spaces, hyphen (-), colon (:), and underscore (_). You can also add a wildcard (*) at the beginning, middle, or end of the keyword. This will search only for elements containing your keyword where the wildcard is placed. |
| Containing Method/ Keyword | Specify a JAVA keyword or method to search. |
| Select M3 BE Installation |
This open text M3 BE field is auto complete for ease of use. Use this to select the M3 BE Installation where to search for modified programs. A default M3 BE selection is displayed. Click the icon to display more details about your selected M3 BE Installation. See Viewing MDP BE system information. Note: The last selected M3 BE Installation on every
login is saved.

Component Advanced Search
Use these fields for M3 Business Engine (BE) system and version advanced filtering.

| Select Component | Select a component corresponding to your selected MDP BE system. |
| Search Limit |
Set the result limit from a range of 100 to 10000 with an interval value of 100 for the first 1000. By default, the search result displays the first 500 data match. When searching for volume data, processing may take a while, consider setting the search limit. |
| Case Sensitive |
This option applies only to "Containing Method/Keyword" entity. Select this option for exact case matches. |
| Exact Word Match |
This option applies only to 'Containing Method/Keyword' entity. Select this option for exact word matches. |
