Viewing columns of a parent table

Use this procedure to view all the columns that belong to the same parent table of a selected table column. Before you start, you must complete a table search task. See Searching for table column.

  1. On the Search Results tab, click a Parent Table name.

    A new search result opens with the header Table Relation Type: Total match.

  2. On the Parent table column, click an item across the column name of your selection.

    A new search result opens with this information:

    Column heading Description
    Column Name Name of the column used by your selected table.
    Description Description of the column used by your selected table.
    Data type Data type of the column used by your selected table.
    Length Length column used by your selected table.
    Decimals Decimals of the column used by your selected table.
    Edit Code Edit Code of the column used by your selected table.
    Indexes List of index names.
  3. Use these options to sort and filter your results:
    • To sort the results alphabetically or numerically, click the Sort icon located in one or more column headings.

    • To filter the results, type a dynamic free text filter for each column and select a Filter action.
