Retrieving fixes from the CCSS server

Use this procedure to filter, search, and retrieve available fixes for M3 Metadata Publisher grid from the Customer Correction Self Service (CCSS) server.

  1. Log on to LifeCycle Manager as administrator.
  2. Select Actions > Retrieve Fixes.
  3. In the right pane, the Retrieve Fixes tab is displayed.
  4. In the CCSS Channels pane, select the current version channel.
  5. At the CCSS Server log on prompt, specify a user name and password. Click OK.
  6. In the Available Fixes pane, specify this information:
    Fix id
    Specify the ID number of the solution.
    Description
    Specify a brief description of the solution.
    Fix type
    Specify the fix that you want to retrieve.
    Show
    Select to view the solutions: All, Not retrieved, or Retrieved.
  7. Click Search to find a solution from the list of available fixes.
  8. On the search results, the status in the Retrieved column of the results list is displayed as:
    Status Description
    Green check mark The solution is retrieved and is available on the LifeCycle Manager Server.
    Red X mark The solution is not yet retrieved.
  9. Select one MDP fix from the list. The details and possible dependencies of the selected fix are displayed.
  10. Select one or more solutions and click Retrieve.
  11. Click OK. The MDP fix and all dependencies are retrieved and uploaded on the LifeCycle Manager Server. You can now proceed to installation of fixes.
    • To install a product package fix which has a name starting with pp, select the product package fix in the Available Fixes pane and click Apply.
    • To install an MDP grid fix, which has a name starting with gf, run the Upgrade Application task in grid and select the new MDP .gar file containing the fix.
