Enabling Profiling
Use this procedure to enable profiling. Enabling profiling helps in localizing the problem when M3 Adaptation Kit (MAK) becomes unresponsive and sluggish. When this function is enabled, a "profiling.log" file is generated in MAK’s standard log folder. Timed entries are written to the log when common MAK actions such as Get, New, Build, and Deploy are performed. The profiler log is, if it exists, included in the MAKInfo.zip which can be created and sent to the MAK support team when reporting errors in MAK.
To enable profiling
- Start Eclipse.
- Select Window > Preferences. The Preferences window is displayed.
- Select the MAK node. The General tab is displayed by default.
- In the Enabled Profiling field, select true.
- Click Apply then click OK to apply the changes.
