Disabling Auto Activation of Java Editor

Use this procedure to disable auto activation of Java editor. It is recommended to switch off auto activation when working with Simple MAK projects. This action prevents the message "This compilation unit is not on the build path of a Java project" from being displayed. For more information on the types of MAK projects, see M3 Adaptation Kit User Guide.

To disable auto activation of Java Editor

  1. Start Eclipse.
  2. Select Window > Preferences. The Preferences window is displayed.
  3. Expand the node for Java.
  4. Select Editor > Content Assist. The properties for Content Assist are displayed.

  6. Click Apply then click OK to apply the changes.
Note:  You can manually activate the auto activation of Java editor by pressing CTRL+Spacebar.
