M3 Adaptation Kit Workspace

Each user should have a separate Eclipse workspace. Keeping separate workspaces prevents users from interfering with each others work. The Eclipse settings and M3 Adaptation Kit (MAK) local files are stored in the workspace.

Use the following naming convention for MAK workspace in situations where there can be multiple MAK users:

<Company>-<User>

For example, a company named ACME, with DEV and TEST environments, and users LUNHAK3 working with DEV and TEST and XMASAN0 working with TEST, would result in two possible workspaces:

  • ACME-LUNHAK3 (TEST, DEV)

  • ACME-XMASAN0 (TEST)

It is recommended that the workspaces be stored in a separate file structure and not in the Eclipse file structure. Workspaces must also be accessible to other users within a particular environment, for example, X:\MAK-Workspaces.
