M3 Adaptation Kit Configuration Prerequisites
The source code for M3 Business Engine (BE) should be available on the BE application server. It should be installed with LifeCycle Manager. The M3 root path on the BE application server should be accessible from the administration client. We recommended that the BE root folder is shared or accessible on a mapped network drive.
If BE is located on IBM i, the user that is used for mapping of the root should belong to the group M3SRVADMS. Do not use the user M3SRVADM.
If Business Engine (BE) is located on Windows 2012, Windows 2016, Windows 2019, or Windows 2022, Infor creates a group called M3_MAK_Group. This group is automatically created by LifeCycle Manager. M3 Adaptation Kit users must be included in this group.
For AIX specific configuration, note that if the BE is located on AIX, the MAK users should be added to the group called lcmgroup.
