M3 Adaptation Kit License Key
A License Key is used when you want to configure M3 Adaptation Kit (MAK) Access Control to enable Extended Access Mode. A license key can be ordered by a Infor personnel by e-mail and must be sent to the Infor Software Client Account Manager who can provide the customer with a License key. The e-mail subject field is used for the licensing details and contains the following parameters separated by semicolons:
-
Product (MAK)
-
Client IP address
-
Usage limit (not applicable for MAK, type ‘5’)
-
License expiration date (not applicable, any date can be used)
-
Customer name
For example, a request for a MAK license key for the client, Acme Inc. with IP address 10.20.30.20 would use MAK;10.20.30.20;5;20040101;Acme Inc; as subject field.
You can copy the license request subject with the correct IP number from the Access Control tab in the Preferences window for MAK. Make sure that you specify your own customer’s name.
The Usage limit and License expiration date are not applicable to MAK, but they must be specified in the request string. The MAK license key has an expiry date that is set to the ninth month after creation. When the license key has expired, the MAK password will not work and a new license key must be entered to enable the Access Control components again.
